  4. Mt. Everything is a Control Panel to help you to manage your SCSI-bus and
  5. devices connected to it.
  6. This package contains the final bug fix release of Mt. Everything 1.1.1
  7. Main features include:
  8. -       View the types and manufacturers of devices connected to your Mac's
  9.         SCSI-bus.
  10. -       Mount any single partition or an entire disk at any time with a mouse
  11.         click.
  12. -       Start or stop each individual drive without rebooting the Mac.
  13. -       Use the disk-driver software installed on the disk or Mt.
  14.                 Everything's built-in driver for any disk.
  15. -       View a map of the individual partitions (including system-partitions)
  16.                 found on a disk.
  17. -       Special support for removable-medium devices
  18. -       Runs on A/UX 3.x

  21. Fixed in 1.1.1 (compared to v 1.1)
  22. -    Mounts FWB's HDT 2.0.x initialized disks.
  23. -    Once again correctly handles disk-drives with a blocksize > 512 bytes
  24.         (This bug has been introduced in one of the 1.1 betas where I extended
  25.         CD-ROM support)
  26. -    "Info"-Dialog now handles disks with many partitions (more than about 12) 
  27.         much better without overflowing the available display space.
  28. -    The built-in driver now handles removable media more meaningful:
  29.         e.g. It now won't let you manually eject a disk with currently mounted
  30.         volumes and then run into trouble when disk ejected isn't there any more.
  31. -    The built-in driver now correctly stops (and ejects) removable media
  32.         disks when you drag all mounted volumes to the trash rather than
  33.         trying to remount the volumes after a short while.
  34. -    Volumes (and partition) sizes for disks with blocksizes > 512 bytes
  35.         are (one again) displayed correctly now.

  37. Minor feature enhancements (since this is not a feature but a bug-fix
  38. release):
  39. -    Recognizes and displays meaningfull information on MkLinux ext2 
  40.         file systems in the "Info" dialog
  41. -    Recognizes BeOS file systems in the "Info" dialog

  43. Requested features still not available in this release (just to avoid you
  44. being disappointed):
  45. -    Full support for multiple SCSI buses: Mt. Everything 1.1.1 still is stuck    
  46.         to a single SCSI bus (or the virtual bus on machines supporting multiple SCSI-buses).
  47.         I'm currently working on an interim solution on this based on the existing
  48.         Mt. Everything code which will appear as Mt. Everything 1.5 in foreseeable
  49.         future. I have postponed my original plans for a total rewrite (planned as 
  50.         Mt. Everything 2) due to Apple's OS strategy changes (no more Copland
  51.         but NeXT/Rhapsody instead). Since Mt. Everthing operates very close to the
  52.         core OS I decided to suspend  the total rewrite until OS issues have settled.
